Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse processes, including shipping and receiving, materials handling, and team management. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse while maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Manage shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods.
- Oversee all stores processes
- Implement effective materials handling practices to optimise workflow and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using AS400 or similar warehouse management systems.
- Facilitate heavy lifting tasks as necessary while ensuring proper techniques are followed.
Skills
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, along with materials handling techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
- Experience operating forklifts safely and efficiently is advantageous.
