Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse supervisor/manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that our warehouse runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely while meeting all operational goals.
Duties
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfilment.
- Implement and maintain efficient business processes to optimise warehouse performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices within the warehouse.
- Utilise and implement warehouse management systems
- Oversee heavy lifting operations and ensure proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline shipping and receiving processes.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and report discrepancies as needed.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
- Driving licence
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), specifically AS400 is advantageous.
- Experience in shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
- Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL) operations is preferred.
- Strong experience with setting up processes and procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing business processes.
