We are seeking a skilled Plastic Laminator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for laminating plastic materials with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality output. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication, assembly, or warehouse operations to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The position involves working with various tools and machinery to produce laminated plastic components that meet strict quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate laminating equipment to apply plastic films onto substrates accurately and consistently
- Prepare materials and set up machinery according to specifications
- Monitor the lamination process, adjusting settings as necessary to maintain quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to minimise downtime
- Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies and make adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge and experience with power tools and hand tools
- Familiarity with fabrication, assembly, and construction painting processes
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks
- Previous warehouse experience or similar manufacturing environment exposure
- Ability to operate welding equipment is advantageous but not essential
- Competence in using fabrication tools and performing routine maintenance on machinery
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to follow technical instructions accurately
