We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Packer to join our factory team. The role is temp to perm. Ideally you will be happy to work weekends or one Saturday/Sunday each week. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality control.
Duties
- Accurately pick and pack items according to order specifications
- Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles
- Handle materials with care, ensuring safe storage and organisation within the warehouse
- Maintain an organised workspace, adhering to factory management system protocols
- Conduct quality control checks on packed items to ensure they meet company standards
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipments against packing lists
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury
- Collaborate with team members to optimise packing processes and improve efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience in factory/warehouse operations, including picking and packing
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous
- Ability to perform quality control checks effectively
- Experience in materials handling, including loading and unloading goods
- Capability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving within a team environment
