Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Narrow Aisle Forklift Flexi Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating specialised forklift equipment within confined spaces, ensuring efficient materials handling, and maintaining safety standards. This role is vital for the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse operations, supporting shipping and receiving functions while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Duties
- Operate narrow aisle forklift (Flexi) equipment safely and efficiently within designated warehouse areas
- Load and unload goods with precision, ensuring correct placement and storage
- Manage materials handling tasks, including stacking, organising, and retrieving stock in narrow aisles
- Utilise Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or report faults for maintenance
- Assist with shipping and receiving procedures, verifying incoming and outgoing consignments
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols
- Support warehouse team with general duties such as stocktaking, organising pallets, and supporting logistics operations
Requirements
- Proven experience operating narrow aisle or Flexi forklifts in a warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting
- Experience in materials handling, load & unload operations, and shipping & receiving processes
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Basic maths skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation purposes
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking within the warehouse setting
- Warehouse experience is highly desirable; valid forklift licence essential
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for maintaining equipment functionality
