Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Driver/Labourer to join our team. This role involves operating forklifts safely, handling materials efficiently, and supporting overall operations. The ideal candidate will possess Forklift and picking and packing experience. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The work can also be physically demanding.
Duties
- Operate forklift trucks safely to load and unload goods, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations
- Manage materials handling tasks including moving stock within storage areas
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and organisation of goods
- Pick and pack wholesale and customer orders
- Utilise warehouse management systems for inventory control and stock tracking
- Support with general labour tasks such as organising stock, cleaning work areas, and assisting with order fulfilment
- Perform basic maths calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and weight assessments
- Ensure all loading and unloading activities are completed efficiently whilst maintaining safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid forklift licence with demonstrated experience operating forklift trucks
- Previous stock control experience is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory management
- Basic maths skills for accurate counting and measurement tasks
- Good physical fitness to handle demanding labour tasks over extended periods
