Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources, and maintaining seamless communication across departments. Duties
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with customer demands and inventory levels.
- Utilise SAP and other ERP systems to plan, track, and adjust manufacturing activities efficiently.
- Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
- Monitor production progress, identify potential delays or bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Analyse production data to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure products meet specified standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on process optimisation and assembly line efficiency enhancements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production plans, changes, and related reports for management review.
Qualifications
Microsoft power BI and adavanced Excel.
- Proven experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with BOM based manufacturing
- Strong proficiency in SAP, MRP/ERP systems, and supply chain management tools.
- Knowledge of mechanical processes, assembly operations, and process improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and techniques.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.
- Effective communication skills to liaise across departments and external suppliers.
- A proactive approach towards continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation.
Ideally 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
