Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Air Freight Warehouse Supervisor to oversee operations at our Crawley facility. This role involves managing warehouse activities related to air freight logistics, ensuring efficient handling of materials, and maintaining high standards of safety and organisation. The successful candidate will lead a team, optimise processes, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and materials handling for air freight consignments.
- Coordinate with 3PL providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery schedules.
- Oversee the utilisation of warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 to track inventory movements and stock levels.
- Lead, train, and manage warehouse staff to maintain high productivity and safety standards.
- Implement process improvements to optimise workflow efficiency and reduce costs.
- Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely for heavy lifting and movement of goods.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials where applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and documentation related to logistics operations.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to plan space utilisation and optimise storage solutions within the warehouse.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably within air freight or logistics sectors.
- Strong knowledge of materials handling, shipping & receiving procedures, and process optimisation.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and other relevant software such as Mechanical knowledge tools.
- Valid forklift licence with experience operating mechanical lifting equipment safely.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative environment.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and documentation accuracy.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting tasks and working in a physically demanding environment.

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
