Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations within a dynamic Production/ logistics environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring efficient materials handling, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Oversee materials handling processes, ensuring accurate and timely movement of goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
- Lead and manage warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to optimise team productivity.
- Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to track inventory levels, order processing, and reporting.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety standards across operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper heavy lifting techniques and safe forklift operation.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to facilitate shipping & receiving activities.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, shipments, and inventory discrepancies.
- Conduct regular audits of warehouse processes and equipment, including mechanical systems and logistics workflows.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse management with a strong understanding of materials handling procedures.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 for inventory control and order processing.
- Skilled in process improvement methodologies to optimise warehouse operations.
- Valid forklift licence with demonstrated experience in forklift operation within a busy warehouse setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a collaborative environment.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience working within 3PL environments or logistics companies is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in shipping & receiving documentation and stock control.

Pay: £29,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
