Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to support our logistics and Warehouse operations. The successful candidate will oversee daily warehouse activities, optimise processes, and ensure efficient management of inventory and shipping procedures. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, inventory control, and order fulfilment.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and safety standards are maintained.
- Utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and AS400 to track inventory levels, process orders, and generate reports.
- Coordinate transportation management systems and liaise with 3PL providers to optimise logistics workflows.
- Oversee the utilisation of forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Implement process improvements aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor profit & loss statements related to warehouse activities to identify areas for financial optimisation.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies across all warehouse functions.
- Support the optimisation of supply chain processes, including shipping & receiving schedules and inventory accuracy.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, ERP systems, transportation management systems, and AS400.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as continuous improvement practices.
- Familiarity with 3PL providers, logistics operations, and supply chain management principles.
- Proficient in operating forklift trucks and other relevant warehouse equipment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Good understanding of profit & loss analysis related to warehousing activities.
